
J. J. Westerman
The Author

J. J. Westerman was born and raised on the South Coast of England, in the New Forest. He has always had a love for a great story, growing up on tales of fantasy and science fiction, introduced by his mother. His Grandmother and father used to make up bedtime stories for him and his brother, and he was read to every night before sleep. This was mostly made up of Roald Dahl and Enid Blyton. Later J. J. would fall in love with the works of Philip Pullman, author of His Dark Materials, Eoin Colfer, auhtor of the Artemis Fowl series, more recently Skandar and the Unicorn Theif by A. F. Steadman and of course J. K. Rowling and the Wizarding World of Harry Potter.

In his private life, J. J. is married to his wonderful wife Emma, they have two sons the eldest called Zachary and a god daughter called Freya, whom inspired him to write this series. With Austin being born on Christmas day in 2022. He has a great love of animals having studied Animal Management at Sparsholt Agricultural College to degree level. He owns two horses and a jack russell terrier (Basil). His favourite places in the world are his home town of Ringwood (a striking resemblance to Kylglenn one might recognise) and Cornwall where he holidayed as a child and has returned at every opportunity since. The eagle eyed reader may spot that Kerensia is steeped in Cornish folklore and smattered with the Cornish language.
Chronicles of The Catalyst is his first foray into writing and he is thoroughly enjoying bringing the Connected Worlds to life.
